Philosophy

The center for education and technology has a goal of improving the quality of English education in the 21st century through research-based programs and technology use. The organization intends to provide self-regulated learning environments for English fluency, enhancing thinking skills, transferring knowledge into language that will be used in real life context.

Who we are:

The Center for Education & Technology (CET) has a Certificate of Incorporation both in Korea and in USA. Director, Joohee Son is a Doctor of Education in Instructional Technology who has committed her life for English education and Instructional Technology. She is specialized in English fluency and Self-regulated learning based on the cognitive science at Teachers College, Columbia University, USA.

In addition, CET affiliates with CTSC (Center for Technology and School Change) of Teachers College, Columbia University, and plans to create the projects which can develop students’ computational thinking skills as well as English fluency.

2014

Jamwon Elementary After-school English Program CET was in charge of running after school English program for about 300 elementary school students.

2014

Publishing three textbooks CET published three English textbooks: Thinking & Reading I & II, Thinking & Writing

2016

O to O (Offline to Online) ProjectsCET established online support system for efficient English learning for the current students.

2016

Computational Thinking & English CET plans to create the programs to improve thinking skills as well as English for the students.
